3D Printing & Prototyping
Fast-turnaround prototyping and small-batch 3D printing for custom parts, fixtures, product development, and functional components.
Prototyping Applications
-
Functional Prototypes
Fast physical prototypes for fit checks, design validation, testing, and product development.
-
Product Development
Support for early-stage concepts, design iterations, proof-of-concept parts, and pre-production development.
-
Fixtures & Jigs
Custom fixtures, jigs, guides, holders, and tooling aids for manufacturing and assembly applications.
-
Custom Components
3D printed parts for specialty applications, equipment, products, and custom assemblies.
-
Replacement Parts
Small replacement components and discontinued or hard-to-source parts when 3D printing is a suitable solution.
-
Small-Batch Production
Short-run production of compatible parts where additive manufacturing offers a practical alternative to traditional machining or tooling.
In-House 3D Printing
Our current in-house 3D printing capability is centered around a Bambu Lab P1-series printer for fast FDM prototyping and small-batch production.
The system is well suited for functional prototypes, fixtures, design validation, custom components, tooling aids, and low-volume production parts.
Additive Manufacturing Experience
Chouinard Manufacturing brings hands-on experience with professional FDM, PolyJet, and SLA additive manufacturing systems, including Stratasys F170, Stratasys J55 PolyJet, and Formlabs platforms.
This experience helps us evaluate part geometry, material requirements, tolerances, surface finish, and the most appropriate manufacturing process for a project.
For larger or specialized projects requiring processes outside our current in-house capabilities, additional production options may be evaluated based on project requirements and volume.
Materials & Print Options
-
PLA
General-purpose material for prototypes, models, fixtures, visual parts, and low-load functional applications.
-
PETG
Durable material suited for functional prototypes, fixtures, housings, and components requiring improved toughness and moisture resistance.
-
TPU / Flexible Materials
Flexible printing for compatible parts such as pads, guards, grips, bumpers, and specialty components.
-
Other Materials by Review
Additional FDM materials may be considered depending on part geometry, application, temperature requirements, and project needs.
From Design to Physical Part
Whether you already have a production-ready model or need help evaluating a concept, we can assist with turning digital designs into physical prototypes and functional parts.
3D printing is especially useful for checking fit, testing ideas, producing tooling aids, and creating low-volume parts without the cost and lead time of traditional tooling.
How to Get a 3D Printing Quote
-
1. Send Your Model
Send your 3D model, drawing, dimensions, and any available project specifications.
-
2. Provide Part Requirements
Let us know the quantity, intended use, material preference, tolerance needs, and any special requirements.
-
3. We Review the Project
We review part geometry, printability, material options, production time, and the most appropriate manufacturing approach.
-
4. Receive Your Quote
